About Hudson / Hawk Barber & Shop

The name Hudson Hawk stems from the first names of Founders Thad Forrester and Paul Catlett’s youngest sons, Hudson and Hawkins.

The idea for the shop was born from a need for salon quality services in a clean, masculine environment, to offer men of all ages with the grooming services and products they need to look and feel their best.

Catlett brings more than twenty years experience in the hair industry, working and studying in Los Angeles and London. He’s owned the successful Studio 417 in Springfield since 2000. Forrester has a corporate background but found his barber calling while Catlett’s client at Studio. They formed Hudson / Hawk Barber & Shop in 2013 and owned five neighborhood shops by the fall of 2015.
